Photography and Design by Deana Claiborne

When I was little, I thought every family had a laundry room and a darkroom in the basement.  My dad is the real photographer in the family. Because of him, I grew up with cameras, lens and enlargers all around me.  I never thought of photography or art as a career.  Nothing this much fun could ever be work.

Over the years, I have applied my design skills to the efforts of the non-profit organizations to which I dedicate my professional and volunteer resources. On occasion, someone is kind enough to commission my work, and in most cases, I donate the commissions to charity. (To be totally honest, I sometimes keep a little cash to fund my insatiable photographic equipment and software addiction.)

In my real life, I am the Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee. Most of the proceeds from my designs and video work are dedicated to the programs and services of this organization, particularly toward the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families who do not have government-funded supports.  Wickerbasket Productions is my way of giving back to the community.

Thank you for visiting my website.
